Booking and Cancellation Policies

Equine Facilitated Learning, Coaching Sessions, Retreats and Intensives


BOOKING

Payment is required in advance to book the session date. This can be made by e-transfer to horsesensenorth.billing@gmail.com. If a credit card payment link is required for out-of-country accounts, please let us know.

CANCELLATION

Plans change, and we'd rather make this easy to navigate than punitive. That said, because we hold space exclusively for you (and because horses, facilitators, and farm logistics get booked around your date), our policy is:

SINGLE SESSION/SINGLE DAY

  • For sessions that are 2-hours or less, we have a 48 hour cancellation policy. Cancellations made with less than 48 hours notice are subject to the full session fee. No-shows will be charged at the full rate.

  • For sessions and bookings that are longer than 2-hours, and single day, we ask for at least 2 weeks’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your session. Cancellations made with less than 2 weeks’ notice are subject to the full fee. No-shows will be charged at the full rate.

MULTI-DAY RETREATS & INTENSIVES

  • More than 30 days before the program date: 50% of the total fee is non-refundable, but can be used as a credit toward a new set of dates, or we can refund the remaining 50%

  • 14–30 days before: 50% of the total fee is non-refundable, and we'll work with you to reschedule where possible, or we can refund the remaining 50%

  • Less than 14 days before: full fee is owed, as we're unlikely to be able to fill that date


Equine Facilitated Therapy, and other Therapy Sessions


BOOKING

No payment is required to book a therapy session. We do require a credit card on file as a backup — this would only ever be used if payment has not been received after a 14-day period post session. 

Payment is due upon receipt of the invoice. This can be made by e-transfer to horsesensenorth.billing@gmail.com.


CANCELLATION

Please note that extended health benefits typically do not cover cancellation fees.


Programs, Workshops, and Speaking Fees

Unless otherwise stated in writing, our booking and cancellation policy is the same as listed above.

If Horse Sense North needs to Cancel:

You will be offered your choice of a full refund or a credit.
