Carmen Theobald

Carmen Theobald is the Founder and Director of Horse Sense North, an organization that offers personal growth, leadership development, and trauma recovery, with a particular focus on serving those who serve others. Carmen is the creator and co-facilitator of the clinically supervised 5-day Equine Therapy Program, Above & Beyond, which has supported many groups of first responders, military, veterans, and other public safety personnel.
Carmen has worked with thousands of horses, and sees them as her best teachers. With over twenty years of experience as a facilitator, educator and speaker, Carmen helps translate the wisdom of horses into our human lives so that we can feel more empowered, whole and free.
Every part of Carmen's work is grounded in a nervous-system-informed approach and shaped by her own post-traumatic growth. She has a deep belief that healing, at individual and systemic levels, is part of the activism our world needs.
